Senior Software Engineer

Design, implement, test, and operate major new features in existing systems.

Own feature and subsystem design, including tradeoffs around security, reliability, scalability, maintainability, performance, and change management.

Write production-quality code that is correct, secure, maintainable, robust, and well-tested.

Drive operational readiness and excellence for owned features and subsystems.

Participate in planning and risk identification for systems and services across the director-level organization.

Work independently on most projects while seeking guidance for complex, mission-critical, high-scale, or cross-team problems.

Support on-call operations, triage issues, and remediate problems without routine assistance.

Lead or contribute to root-cause analysis and propose practical solutions.

Develop or improve metrics, dashboards, and tools that increase situational awareness.

Identify and implement improvements that reduce operational load, reduce manual touchpoints, increase service availability, improve compliance with organizational standards, and reduce technical debt.

Improve the team through engineering practices, operational practices, development process, ownership, and mentoring.
4-8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent domain-specific experience.
Experience building and operating production software systems.
Strong coding, testing, debugging, and design skills.
Ability to work independently and make thoughtful technical tradeoffs.
Experience with operational services, incident response, metrics, dashboards, or service health monitoring.
Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
