Job Description

Tool and Die maker of new product introduction (NPI) programs & supporting existing production tooling. Responsible for the oversight of core members involved in the build of new/replacement tooling to support Department's and Operation's strategic goals. Will work on intercompany projects of medium / high complexity and scope. May perform multiple and parallel activities across projects. Work with others on project issues to develop multiple resolution options. Lead and work with technical resources on inter-functional projects. These projects aim to achieve main factors of project success, which include project schedule, project cost, product cost, process / product quality, and transferability to manufacturing. You will report to the Manager, Customer Success and work onsite in Milwaukee, WI.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, models, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience operating conventional and/or CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment.
  • Injection mold design, tooling evaluation, repair assessment, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
  • Manufacturing processes, tooling construction, and product manufacturability.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve tooling and process-related issues.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience evaluating tooling suppliers and benchmarking manufacturing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, mold flow considerations, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Experience collaborating with product design engineers to improve manufacturability and reduce tooling costs.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects and implementing global best practices.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and mold design tools.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification or experience.
