This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Engineer Application Development – Power Platform based in the United States.

This senior engineering role sits at the heart of enterprise digital transformation, designing and delivering scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions across a modern Microsoft Power Platform and Azure ecosystem. You will act as both a hands-on developer and architectural leader, shaping how enterprise applications are built, integrated, and optimized across multiple business domains. The role blends deep technical expertise with strategic influence, enabling you to define standards, guide architecture decisions, and elevate engineering practices across Agile teams. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leadership to translate complex requirements into high-impact solutions. A strong focus is placed on innovation, including the use of AI-enabled tools such as Copilot, AI Builder, and Azure AI services to accelerate delivery and enhance automation. This is a highly autonomous role where you will own technical outcomes across initiatives while mentoring other engineers and driving continuous improvement. The environment is fast-evolving, cloud-first, and centered on building meaningful solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

Accountabilities:

Lead the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure services.
Define and govern solution architecture, integration patterns, data models (including Dataverse), and development standards across teams.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leaders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Provide architectural leadership and technical direction across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy.
Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, CI/CD, Agile delivery, and modern software development standards.
Design and implement integrated solutions across cloud platforms, enabling seamless data flow and system interoperability.
Explore and apply emerging technologies such as AI Builder, Copilot, and Azure AI services to enhance solution capabilities.
Mentor and guide developers, promoting continuous learning, quality, and consistent delivery excellence.
Monitor industry trends in enterprise platforms and assess their relevance to evolving technical strategy.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure.
Strong expertise in Dataverse (Common Data Service), data modeling, and system integration.
Hands-on experience with Power Platform, Azure services, and modern cloud-native architectures.
Familiarity with AI Builder, Copilot, or Azure AI services strongly preferred.
Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall SDLC environments.
Strong understanding of development practices such as CI/CD, code reviews, coding standards, and collaborative engineering.
Proven ability to lead technical architecture decisions and solve complex engineering challenges independently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
Experience mentoring or coaching developers and promoting engineering best practices.
Strong learning agility and ability to quickly adopt emerging technologies, including AI-driven development tools.
Microsoft Power Platform certifications and insurance industry experience are a plus.
