This position is a Full Stack Software Engineer on Dealer Learning Management (DLM) product team which is part of the Dealer Network & Employee Engagement (DNEE) Product Line.  The key application asset in DLM is STARS (Standardized Training and Resource System). STARS is the infrastructure for managing training for dealer, fleet and career entry employees for the Ford and Lincoln Brands globally. The team is organized as a product-based team delivering software to enable learning opportunities and certification for dealer and fleet employees world-wide. STARS is currently used in many countries around the world in North America, South America, Europe, Asia pacific and EMS and is available in 32 languages. 


How We Work

 Our engineers develop across the full stack of technologies to provide end-to-end user value. We work in balanced teams of product managers, software engineers, product designers and product owners who collaborate to ensure that we deliver the right solution to the desired outcome based on validated Lean/Agile methods.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Define, design, and ship new features using following technologies:

    • Java - Spring Boot -Angular -CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub)-GCP-APIs-TDD

    • Agile methodologies and practices (Rally)

  • Collaborate and communicate clearly with Product Managers, Product Owners and UI/UX designers during development and support of application features.

  • Perform technical design, coding with test automation, support, and documentation of software application modifications. 

  • Ensure quality code is delivered through high Standards, continuous integration, development and testing.

  • Develop test plans, execution and continuous releases.

  • Work as part of a product team to lead the engineering, development and coding of complex solutions that enable critical Connected Consumer and Vehicle Features.
  • Deliver software craftsmanship principles in the projects and be able to share the successful implementation.
  • Develop tools and processes to automate the delivery of new features/capabilities while elimination waste.

Lead software engineers to understand platform vision, break out tasks and help them solve challenging issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or equivalent software engineering experience

  • Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems

  • 5+ years experience in software engineering building complete systems with a focus on Java, Springboot, Angular, API’s, Postgresql 

  • 2+ year of experience developing and deploying for cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Tekton, Cycode,

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all actions.

  • Strong analytical, conceptual and reasoning skills

This position is a salary grade 7-8 and ranges from $99,600-$192,900.    
 

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
