In this role, you will be a main point of contact at the VIP entrance with the potential to work in several different areas of the arena. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to greeting patrons, ticket scanning, and directing traffic. As a frontline representative of the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, you will have the opportunity to assist our guests by offering directions and sharing information while creating a world-class experience. Your job will be to provide a positive and efficient check-in experience. This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until October 23, 2026. About the Venue The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space, and an arena-view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men’s and Women’s basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena is also frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes.  Responsibilities Prepare the VIP lobby for use; this could include but not limited to wiping down countertops, looking for potential hazards, reporting any issues to a supervisorWhen gates open, welcome patrons with a great smile and helpful attitudeScan event tickets, ensuring that the proper ticket is being used to gain entryAssist patrons in locating their suite or clubBeing alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occurMonitor your assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our fansRespond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and in a professional mannerAssist guests to help accommodate their ADA-accessible needsEnforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guestsManage the foot traffic flow within the lobbyBe knowledgeable about arena emergency evacuation plan to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency Qualifications Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferredHigh school diploma or GED preferredMust have a customer service first mentality and love working with and helping peopleAbility to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to maintain a positive attitude while handling difficult situationsAvailability to work most home basketball games.
