Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of  Windows Systems Engineer! 

 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Windows Systems Engineer to support and maintain our Microsoft Windows server and endpoint environments. This role is ideal for an entry-level or early-career IT professional who wants to develop strong technical skills in Windows systems administration while working under the guidance of senior engineers. 

Responsibilities 

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments  

• Support Active Directory (user accounts, groups, GPOs, DNS, DHCP)  

• Monitor system health, performance, and availability  

• Perform routine system administration tasks such as patching, backups, and access control  

• Troubleshoot Windows server, desktop, and basic networking issues  

• Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and deployments  

• Support virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware,Nutanix)  

• Maintain system documentation and operational procedures  

• Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure projects 

 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Required Technical Skills/Minimum Qualification 

• Basic understanding of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems  

• Familiarity with Active Directory concepts and administration  

• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) 

• Basic understanding of patching methodology (ACCM, WSS) 

• Understanding of system security fundamentals  

• Able to configure/supporting multiple Windows-based systems (e.g. storage and backup) 

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills 

 

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications 

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)  

• Knowledgeable with PowerShell scripting (basic level)  

• Exposure to endpoint management tools  

• Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions (CommVault) 

• Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk and Graphana) 

• Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, M365 Fundamentals) 

• Eager to learn and grow  

• Detail-oriented and reliable  

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability 

• Team player with a customer-focused mindset  

• Ability to manage multiple priorities
