About:
The Outside Sales Engineer will serve as a brand ambassador by engaging with current and future customers to strengthen relationships and expand our aftermarket business. This role focuses on helping facility owners and operators maximize the performance and lifespan of their HVAC systems through parts, service, preventative maintenance, and turnkey project solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ownership of an established sales territory, primarily the Washington D.C. suburbs to the PA border, east of I-83, including 15 of the top 25 largest manufacturers in the Baltimore area
- Engineer and present innovative and technical solutions to a variety of customer challenges using our extensive product portfolio and manufacturer support
- Build and manage relationships within an extensive established customer base
- Identify, qualify and pursuing new customers in the territory
- Visit customers and their facilities on a routine basis
- Curious problem solver and tinkerer with a strong engineering acumen
- Experience with industrial and mechanical applications, such as valves, sensors, switches, steam regulators, controllers, thermocouples/RTDs and transmitters.
- Natural desire and ability to communicate with and relate to others – both written and oral.
- Self-starter with good organizational skills and strong follow through
- Ability to be on the road as needed to service customer needs in the territory
- Small business compatibility
- Natural curiosity and desire to continually improve professionally
