- Leading the development and execution of FiM’s investment activities in Ukraine, within the broader European Neighborhood Region (ENR) strategy
- Acting as a key on-the-ground representative of Finance in Motion and its managed funds, including building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and relevant stakeholders
- Origination, structuring, and execution of debt investments across a range of counterparties, including corporates and financial institutions, covering the full investment cycle: from identification of opportunities, conducting on- and off-site due diligence, structuring investment proposals, to investment committee presentation and portfolio monitoring
- Leading and supporting legal structuring and negotiations, including drafting and negotiating term sheets and transaction documentation
- Driving business development and active portfolio management in Ukraine to ensure a balanced mix of key metrics (impact, risk, return)
- Preparing internal and external reporting on individual transactions and the overall investment portfolio in Ukraine
- Identifying technical assistance needs for clients and market participants in Ukraine, in coordination with the technical assistance team
- Contributing to annual business planning and country strategy development, with a primary focus on Ukraine
- Participating in targeted policy dialogue with public and private sector stakeholders in Ukraine
- Representing Finance in Motion and its funds at conferences, workshops, and industry events in the region
What we expect:
- Master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA desirable
- Relevant experience from an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm operating to international standards
- Professional experience of leading and/or participating in financial transactions through the full project life cycle
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modelling capabilities
- Solid understanding of the Ukrainian market and business environment; regional experience is an advantage
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team and co-operate with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to complete tasks to a high degree of accuracy, under tight timeframes
- Excellent knowledge of Ukrainian and English, both written and oral; business fluency in other languages is an advantage
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, also in multicultural contexts
