JOB SUMMARY

Support level trainee completing on the job training and performing general manufacturing tasks as directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Primary objective is to learn and complete on the job training for successful transition into support level manufacturing staff.
·         May be required to perform basic to moderately complex manufacturing tasks as learned and directed in the training program.
·         May be required to successfully complete testing or certification requirements as necessary in the area of assignment.
·         Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
·         Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
·         May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·         Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
·         Ability to write. Read and understand visual aid.
·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
·         Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
·         Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret diagrams and graphs.

Purpose of the Role

To support the Learning & Development function in ensuring effective training delivery, skill development, certification management, and training compliance across manufacturing operations. The trainee will assist in developing a skilled workforce while gaining exposure to Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) operations and training systems.

Key Responsibilities

Training Coordination & Administration

  • Support scheduling and execution of operator and technician training programs.
  • Coordinate induction, refresher, process, and certification trainings.
  • Maintain training attendance records and training databases.
  • Track training completion status and follow up on pending trainings.
  • Assist in preparation of training reports and dashboards.

Training Delivery Support

  • Support trainers during classroom and shopfloor training sessions.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, handouts, and assessment papers.
  • Assist in conducting practical demonstrations and simulations.
  • Support new employee onboarding and orientation activities.

Skill Certification & Compliance

  • Assist in conducting skill evaluations and certification assessments.
  • Maintain certification records and skill matrices.
  • Support training compliance audits and documentation.
  • Ensure training records are updated as per company requirements.

Manufacturing Process Learning

  • Learn EMS manufacturing processes including:
    • SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
    • Manual Assembly
    • Testing
    • Inspection
    • Packing
  • Understand process flow, quality requirements, and ESD practices.
  • Support process-specific skill development initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in Kaizen, Lean, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Support development of visual aids, work instructions, and training modules.
  • Collect trainee feedback and assist in training effectiveness measurement.

Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering

Experience

  • Fresh Diploma Pass-Outs
  • Basic knowledge of electronics manufacturing is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Basic analytical and reporting skills.
