Job description: 

The HSE Administrative Associate provides administrative and operational support to the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) function by coordinating information, documentation, reports, and activities related to compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a liaison between internal teams, contractors, and support functions, contributing to risk management, occupational safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Works with limited supervision while ensuring the quality, confidentiality, and accuracy of information.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:     

  • Prepare, consolidate, and manage HSE reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and documentation. 

  • Manage information, records, and files, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility. 

  • Monitor and follow up on legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements related to health, safety, and environmental compliance. 

  • Support compliance audits, inspections, and assessments. 

  • Enter, update, and track information within platforms such as Enablon, HEART, and Human Tech. 

  • Generate reports and key performance indicators related to safety, environmental compliance, and ergonomics. 

  • Support the analysis and monitoring of information to facilitate informed decision-making. 

  • Participate in risk identification and assessment activities. 

  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis. 

  • Promote compliance with safety standards and corporate methodologies such as NBS. 

  • Track preventive and corrective actions resulting from audits, inspections, and incident investigations. 

  • Serve as a liaison between the HSE team, Facilities, Cummins Services, and contractors. 

  • Provide support and follow-up to contractors regarding safety and compliance requirements. 

  • Facilitate communication among the various functions involved in HSE processes. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma required.

Preferred: Current student or graduate in one of the following fields:

  • Industrial Engineering
  • Business Management Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Or related disciplines

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Experience in administrative or support roles within industrial, safety, or compliance environments.

Knowledge of:

  • Environmental and safety legislation applicable in Mexico (basic).
  • HSE legal and regulatory requirements (basic to intermediate).
  • Risk assessment, environmental aspects, and ergonomics.
  • Contractor management and follow-up.
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • HSE platforms such as Enablon, HEART, and Human Tech.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Intermediate English proficiency (preferred).
