Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence.At Swap, we’re building a culture that values clarity, creativity, and shared ownership as we redefine how global commerce works.About the roleThis is a senior individual contributor role at the heart of Swap's US commercial motion, with a primary focus on the Agentic Storefront, our most strategically important product and the one driving our largest deal sizes.The Agentic Storefront is a genuinely new kind of product, and that's what makes this role interesting. You'll be helping e-commerce leaders understand what an AI-powered commerce experience means for their business, while giving their technical teams the confidence to move forward. You'll be the person who makes that conversation credible on both sides and who gets to do it at an early, exciting moment in the product's journey.Alongside the Agentic Storefront, you'll support deals across our cross-border commerce suite solutions that help merchants manage international selling at scale, from returns and exchanges to the third-party integrations that make it work operationally. These are complex, integration-heavy deals sold into merchants with real technical and logistical depth, and your ability to lead discovery and guide implementation scoping will directly affect outcomes. You're not expected to be a specialist, you'll have support but you'll need to get across the product landscape quickly and bring genuine curiosity to it.You'll be the primary SE presence on the ground in the US, working closely with AEs across Austin and New York, and backed by an experienced SE and technical team in the UK. Swap's US sales team is growing aggressively, and the SE function will grow with it, this is a foundational hire, not a terminal one. We're looking for someone who's energised by that, not daunted by it.What You'll DoOwn the technical win on Agentic Storefront deals - leading discovery, shaping the solution narrative, and building genuine technical credibility with both e-commerce and engineering stakeholders at prospect accountsLead integration scoping conversations - working with merchant technical teams on API connectivity, platform dependencies, implementation planning, and third-party integration requirementsBe a reliable, trusted technical partner to US-based AEs across the full product suiteRun structured technical discovery that gets to the real constraints and objectives before any solution is proposedScope and support proof of concept and pilot engagements where neededContribute to internal enablement - helping document and evolve technical positioning as Swap's product portfolio growsFeed what you're hearing in the field back to product, marketing, and GTM teams - your perspective from customer conversations is genuinely valued hereRequirements5-7 years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or sales engineering role at a B2B SaaS companyGenuine hands-on technical depth, comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture; able to engage meaningfully with merchant engineering teams on implementation questions. Prior experience with JavaScript, Python, or similar is a strong signalFamiliarity with the e-commerce ecosystem - you understand how online retailers think, who the stakeholders are, and what drives their decisions.
