Job Purpose: The Director of Accounting leads the North American general ledger and accounting operations with end‑to‑end responsibility for financial accuracy, operational performance, and regulatory compliance. This role champions process optimization, technology enablement, and scalable controls that support growth and complexity across the business, while influencing leaders across departments to ensure financial excellence and organizational alignment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the North America general ledger and accounting organization ensuring accurate and compliant financial results

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of six general ledger accountants, fostering continuous improvement, and a high-performance culture while ensuring timely and accurate reporting

  • Oversee all journal entries, monthly close and BPC submissions while performing analytical review and adhering to IFRS

  • Continuously improve existing workstreams and analytics by creating a culture that supports innovation and adoption of the latest technologies

  • Ensure balance sheet integrity by strengthening reconciliation quality and controls

  • Own SOX compliance and audit readiness acting as the primary contact for internal and external auditors

  • Direct the accounting workstream for acquisition onboarding, integrating new companies into ledger structures, controls, and reporting environments

  • Oversee financial reporting to joint‑venture partners, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with JV agreements

  • Advise senior leadership, offering insight on financial trends, accounting implications, and strategic decisions
     

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Active CPA license highly encouraged

  • 7+ years of general accounting experience

  • 3+ years of management experience
