As an Investment Banking Analyst at J.P. Morgan, you will be based in our São Paulo office and play a key role in supporting the Latin America Investment Banking team. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will work alongside experienced professionals to deliver strategic financial solutions to a diverse range of clients across the region.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets offerings, and other strategic advisory assignments for clients in Latin America.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, build financial models, and perform company valuations using various methodologies.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and other materials to support new business development and ongoing client engagements.
- Perform industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks for clients and the firm.
- Collaborate with senior bankers and product partners across different geographies and product groups to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support the due diligence process and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction execution.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelors' Degree and fluency in English;
- Solid analytical skills, able to quickly and intuitively analyze and correctly interpret data;
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting, as well as basic understanding of legal and tax aspects related to M&A transactions;
- Solid financial modeling/valuation, including DCF, LBO, trading multiples, precedent transactions, accretion/dilution, value creation analysis, three-statement models and combined pro forma models;
- Intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, detail oriented, proactive and highly organized;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with different teams and under time constraints;
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity;
- Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment;
- Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications.
