NOP 489 - Technical Project Lead

The ideal candidate has a well-rounded technical & business background, strong leadership experience, takes initiative and ownership and lead teams through influence and motivation.  You will be managing development and delivery of active suspension systems work products. The successful candidate will be a passionate, confident, organized and driven team player. The position reports into PMO.
 

Requirements

• BS or equivalent in engineering discipline (Electrical engineering preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of Automotive Tier 1/Tier 2 experience with electro mechanical systems
• Strong understanding of development cycle (V-Model)
• Proven experience in automotive project management

Responsibilities

• Create, update and manage timing plan for the EMM (Electric Motor Module) with relation to EMM delivery from a tier 2 supplier
• Review Mechanical, EE HW, System and EMM SW timing plans with Vertical Leads (then use these plans to create overall plan)
• Align EMM plan with the TPL and PM team
• Interface with the customer regarding EMM reviews:
  • Run or attend reviews, take away actions / make sure owners designated and comprehension of a topic is on both side (customer and internal), run Open Issues List, generate meeting minutes.  Output to business as required
• Guide supplier and vertical teams on correct approach to reporting out (internally and externally), ensure the concise, effective and correct message is conveyed.
• Discuss and agree on strategic approach to delivery, risks, and issues with engineering verticals
• Feed information and tasks into the vertical technical teams via workflow (JIRA) from the rest of business / customer interface team.
• Prepare and create content for and then support internal Program Management Reviews (PMR) and customer Steering Committee Meetings
• Drive creation of DVP
• Work cross-functionally to facilitate CMI vertical technical team understanding of stake holder requirements, decomposition and integration into an ESOW for the tier 2.

• Be responsible for the planning and execution on time and align with PM on budget 
• Work with Supply chain and PM on cost information fidelity and trade off arbitration
