As the Associate, Mechanical Equipment Engineering, you will be primarily responsible for designing and developing mechanical equipment and tools for manufacturing processes. You will conduct tests, troubleshoot systems, and build effective relationships with Technology Transfer and Production Groups.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- SME role for Backend engineering equipment and process, providing support to 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Manufacturing processes oversight and support on process improvement, validation, CR, CAPA, SOP update and activities related to engineering equipment.
- Lead in resolving daily operational issue, involve in OEE or productivity projects.
- Troubleshoot and optimize systems, making decisions within the scope of your tasks
- Provide support to the commissioning and qualification of DSM Flex Expansion project
- Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations and to ensure compliance of SOPs, GMP and HSE Corporate policy. Support audits as per schedule and Non-Conformance Investigation as necessary.
- Non-conformance Investigator. Conduct investigation for Non-conformance (NCI).
- Apply technical knowledge to support project goals in designing and developing mechanical equipment and tools
- Research production equipment solutions and develop or modify equipment designs
- Assist in the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment to optimize utilization, uptime, and production yield
- Conduct tests and measurements to ensure equipment meets production requirements and specifications
- Establish and submit processing requirements for designing and acquiring equipment
- Liaise with and conduct training for Technology Transfer and Production Groups on new equipment and processes
- Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements
What You'll Bring to Alcon
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Min 2-3 years of relevant experience ; hands on troubleshooting of process equipment
- Experience with developing, reviewing, and managing related documentation.
- Able to provide 24/7 standby support (in case of equipment breakdown/ emergencies as per business / production operations needs)
