Veterinary Receptionist, Overnight | Starting at $20+/hour
Location: Plainview, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-hr Overnight Shifts | 7p – 7a
Compensation: Starting at $20+/hour, commensurate with knowledge and experience


Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist to join our specialty and emergency animal hospital in Plainview, NY. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client communication, problem-solving, and supporting pets and their families in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll help create a welcoming experience while working alongside a compassionate team dedicated to exceptional patient and client care.

Compensation

  • Starting at $18+/hour

Schedule
  • Three 12-hr Overnight Shifts, 7p – 7a
Responsibilities
  • Welcome clients and provide professional, compassionate customer service
  • Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and client updates
  • Answer phone calls and assist clients with questions and scheduling needs
  • Support medication refill requests and client communication
  • Review invoices and assist with payment processing
  • Maintain organization and accuracy in a fast-paced specialty and emergency veterinary hospital
  • Partner with medical teams to ensure clients feel informed and supported throughout their pet’s care
Qualifications
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Veterinary hospital experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a busy, team-oriented environment
  • Reliable, organized, and passionate about helping people and animals
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
