As a Pre‑Sales Technical Solution Architect, you shape SSC Space’s most complex customer missions. You sit at the intersection of Sales, Business Units, and Group IT - turning opportunities into secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient solutions aligned with our architectural strategy.  

Requirements

You are a collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across functions and disciplines, building strong relationships with Sales, engineering, operations, and service delivery. You combine deep technical expertise with a solution-oriented mindset and can communicate complex architectures clearly to both technical specialists and executive stakeholders. 

  • Strong background in network architecture (routing, switching, VPN, segmentation, firewalls).
  • Broad infrastructure knowledge across core IT services.
  • Experience with hybrid environments and integration patterns.
  • Securitybydesign mindset.
  • Presales experience
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions to both technical and executive audiences.

 If you also have experience in the following it’s considered merit 

  • ITIL familiarity
  • Certifications: CCNP/CCIE, AWS/Azure, ITIL, TOGAF


Responsibilities

This is a customer facing architecture role where you influence early, reduce delivery risk, and ensure that what we sell can be delivered sustainably through Group IT. You act as a trusted technical advisor in pre-sales, shaping end‑to‑end architectural solutions together with Sales, Business Units, and internal delivery teams. The role includes accountability for architectural alignment, security, and feasibility, as well as the mandate to challenge and escalate solutions that conflict with architectural principles or compliance requirements. A key part of the role is ensuring a smooth transition from bid to delivery with complete documentation and service readiness.  

  • Lead solution architecture for customer missions and projects during pre-sales.
  • Own end-to-end architecture solutions across: 
    • Network (LAN/WAN, SD WAN, routing, segmentation, VPN, firewalls, automation)
    • Infrastructure & platforms (hybrid/cloud, AWS, automation, storage, backup, integration)
  • Ensure alignment with SSC Space architecture principles and reference designs. 
  • Partner with Sales and Business Units to shape solution options and tradeoffs. 
  • Translate customer needs into clear architectural recommendations. 
  • Provide technical input for bids, SoWs, and RFP/RFI responses. 
  • Validate feasibility with engineering and operations teams. 
  • Produce high quality estimates (BOM, high level design, effort, capacity). 
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and compliance considerations early. 
  • Maintain reusable patterns and standard components. 
  • Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams with complete documentation and readiness. 
  • Create, maintain and update Service description for IT services in close collaboration with Service Delivery manager.

Location  

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our office in Solna or Kiruna.
