Industrial Hygienist

About the Position: This is a developmental Industrial Hygienist position located at Guthrie Army Health Clinic at Fort Drum, New York. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation is available to those new to federal employment. Assess working practices and environmental conditions to ensure compliance with established occupational safety and health regulations. Prepare reports using data collected. Document findings into the Defense Occupational Environmental Health Readiness System-Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH). Assist with worker education and training. Conduct annual surveys of assigned buildings to evaluate hazardous conditions on any new or existing environmental hazards and potentially hazardous conditions. Collect air samples as determined by building inspections or special projects. Collect data from building surveys, air samples and walk-through surveys to enter into the DOEHRS-IH. Review new construction, renovation, and/or other construction design projects to ensure all potential health hazards are addressed.
