Accountabilities:
- Perform field service visits to install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain large high-power rotating electrical machinery, motors, and generators.
- Provide on-site technical and engineering assistance to support proper installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement effective repair solutions.
- Deliver customer training through on-site, in-house, or virtual sessions to support equipment operation and maintenance.
- Provide technical support to customers through phone, virtual, and in-person interactions when required.
- Prepare service documentation, technical reports, travel plans, and customer support materials.
- Organize service assignments, coordinate required resources, and ensure readiness before field visits.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, expenses, equipment usage, and service activities.
- Safely manage assigned tools, equipment, and resources required for field operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, repair, testing, and operations groups, to support customer outcomes.
- Follow all safety, quality, security, and compliance procedures while working independently or as part of a team.
- Represent the organization professionally while building strong relationships with customers and partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, college coursework, or related training is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience working with large rotating electrical equipment, high-voltage systems, generators, motors, or related machinery.
- Practical experience performing troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, installation, or commissioning activities.
- Strong customer-facing skills with experience working in B2B service environments.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, solve problems effectively, and make sound decisions in the field.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, project management tools, and ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with internal teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States and internationally.
- Valid US-issued driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and nights when required by customer projects.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 50-75 pounds, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and working in various environments.
