As an IBM product marketing manager in Bangalore, your reach is global as you communicate with other IBM teams, clients, and business partners across the world. At IBM, we understand the importance of flexibility, so this is a hybrid role requiring 3-days a week in the office. **Your role and responsibilities** We are seeking a product marketing champion to join our Software Product Marketing team. As a Product Marketing Manager focused on Developer Advocacy & Customer Engagement, you will be responsible for building advocacy programs that strengthen IBM’s relationship with developers, technical practitioners, and software decision makers. You will develop customer-centric narratives, manage review and reference programs, and deliver actionable voice-of-customer insights that influence marketing, product, and business strategy. You will collaborate with teams across Marketing, Demand Generation, Content, Product Management, Developer Relations, and Sales to drive developer adoption, engagement, advocacy, and customer influence. You will serve as the voice of the developer and customer, translating market and user insights into differentiated positioning, compelling stories, and scalable advocacy programs. In this role, you will drive outcomes measured by advocacy participation, developer engagement, review volume and sentiment, customer references, adoption growth, community influence, and market insights that improve decision-making across the business. Your primary responsibilities include: · Build and scale developer advocacy programs including customer references, referrals, advisory boards, peer review programs, and champion communities to increase engagement and influence. · Develop customer and developer success stories by creating case studies, testimonials, advocacy content, and speaker opportunities that showcase real-world outcomes and technical innovation. · Lead Voice-of-Customer initiatives through platforms such as TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights, and G2, translating customer feedback into actionable insights for product and marketing teams. · Partner across DevRel and Marketing & Communications teams to drive audience-led campaigns, amplify customer voices, and strengthen engagement within developer communities and IBM Champion programs. · Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to identify trends, inform go-to-market strategies, and expand IBM's presence within strategic developer ecosystems and high-density technology markets. This is a Hybrid role, attendance to the office will be required only 3 times per week. **Required technical and professional expertise** Experience in Product Marketing, Developer Relations, Community Marketing, or Customer Advocacy · Experience building and managing customer advocacy, review, reference, or community programs · Experience developing customer stories, case studies, testimonials, and content for technical audiences · Experience conducting customer, market, and competitive research · Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including Marketing & Communications, DevRel, Product Management, and Sales · Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment · Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B technology marketing **Preferred technical and professional experience** Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies · Experience with client advocacy, developer community, or peer review programs · Knowledge of Developer audience · Experience with AI products and/or services IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
