What You Will Do
- Support of Global Trade (GT) activity associated with all business areas.
- Dissemination and briefing of all Raytheon UK domestic and international Policies and Procedures to deliver world class export controls compliantly.
- Support export classification of contract deliverables
- Managing the implementation, creation, maintenance and authorisation of Agreement Export / Import Compliance Plans (AEICPs) by the business area.
- Commercial management / preparation of all necessary licences and documentation to ensure deliveries are made in a timely, cost-effective and compliant manner, including technology transfers requests, F680’s or F1686’s.
- Management of complex agreements (MLA’s, TAA’s, CA’s etc.,) including sub-licensee and NDA reviews, approval of DN/TCN activity, and ensuring all activities undertaken are authorised under the relevant agreement.
- Support the implementation of mandatory group export control training at awareness, enhanced and advanced level devised, created, implemented, delivered and continually improved in line with requirements.
- Working with the business on new and existing opportunities and effectively manage all GT obligations relating to the business area.
- Provide awareness training to external customers, suppliers, sub licensees and sub tier sub licensees, as required.
- Support to the business area management leadership team.
- Attend and support Gate reviews for all key business areas as requested.
- Provide expert guidance across the business area to ensure compliance with UK Export and Import regulations and US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- Provide guidance and advice to other members of staff as well as functional and programme offices.
- Undertaking Internal Audits and where issues are found liaise with appropriate business area and assist with corrective action plan to ensure company compliance.
- Track and monitor corrective actions resulting from self-assessments and audits.
- Support investigations relating to potential compliance breaches and assist in the preparation of any resulting incident reports to GT and RUK Legal Department.
- Managing and generating reports and performance metrics.
- Support the Head of GT Operations on specific projects as requested.
- Support trade compliance goals and objectives.
- Support the development of improved processes using Six Sigma and other lean tools
Qualifications You Must Have
- Extensive knowledge of U.K. Export Licensing Regulations, U.S. ITAR/EAR Regulations, and shipping Procedures
- knowledge in corporate compliance investigations, EXIM licensing, customs and border enforcement, global trade operations, and relevant regulatory regimes
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices on EXIM processes
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills and the ability to learn quickly, work independently with minimal supervision, manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and lead intermediate projects and investigations in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to engage RUK business leaders to drive cross-functional implementation of new procedural solutions and work instructions in a timely and efficient manner
- Proactive, well organised with ability to effectively manage volume and prioritise accordingly
- Sound judgment and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to provide effective advice and counsel on EXIM matters
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, EXIM and Global Trade tools and programmes
- All round business commercial awareness
- Strong team player
- Awareness and understanding of Business Agreements

Qualifications We Prefer
- Graduate equivalent qualification (Cranfield University Level 4 MSc accredited module in Political, Legal and Ethical frameworks of Defence with a focus on Strategic Export Controls or Graduate Member of Institute of Export or similar)
