Learn more at experianplc.com.Job DescriptionRole Summary:The Legal Manager will support Experian's Global Innovation Centre in Hyderabad on a range of legal matters. The primary focus will be on employment law, HR legal advisory, employee policies, employee disputes, and workplace compliance. You will also support contract negotiation, general legal advisory, dispute resolution, and data privacy matters. You will report to a Senior Manager. Main Responsibilities:Advise HR and business teams on employment law matters, including employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, performance management, exits, settlements, and workplace compliance.Review, draft, and update employment policies, employee handbooks, HR procedures, employee communications, and employment-related documentation.Support employee disputes, legal notices, labour law matters, internal investigations, POSH-related matters, and coordination with external counsel where required.Draft, review, and negotiate client contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, statements of work, amendments, renewals, and other legal documents.Advise procurement, administration, HR, finance, compliance, and business teams on contractual and legal risks.Provide practical legal advice on Indian laws applicable to Experian's operations, services, internal processes, and corporate functions.Support data privacy matters, including employee data, vendor/client data protection clauses, cross-border data transfers, and intercompany data processing arrangements.Draft and review internal policies, procedures, templates, and legal documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company standards.Manage disputes involving us, including legal notices, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and settlement discussions.Conduct legal training for HR, managers, and employees on employment law, workplace policies, contracts, privacy, and other relevant legal topics.QualificationsExperience Required:Minimum 7 years of experience in an in-house legal team or reputed law firm.Experience in Indian employment law, HR advisory, employee disputes, policy drafting, workplace investigations, and employee documentation.Experience reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and amendments.Experience managing legal disputes, complaints, legal notices, litigation, arbitration, mediation, or settlements.Experience with data privacy, technology laws,, and cross-border data transfer considerations.Advise diverse partners, including HR, procurement, administration, finance, compliance, business, and global legal teams.Need to be Practical, business-oriented approach with ownership. Qualifications:LLB from a recognised university.Experience or specialisation in employment law, corporate law, contract management, technology law, or data privacy will be an advantage.Additional...
