This integral role within the bank ensures operations are within a defined risk appetite and contribute to the overall objectives of the bank. The individual is responsible for the In-business Risk Management regulatory change reviews impacting the Human Resources (HR) organization. The individual will support the design and implementation of risk mitigation actions and focus on managing one or more risks in support of business activities.Professionals within the HR 1LoD Compliance Risk Management team are entrusted with providing a comprehensive view of risk management which enables the bank to anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential risks, crucial for the bank's success.Responsibilities:Regulatory Risk Management: Assess regulations and determine applicability to specific business units within HR and coordinate with key stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, business units) to complete impact assessments and develop action plans, where applicable to address the regulatory expectations.Lead Risk & Control Management: Conduct comprehensive risk and control assessments, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure business decisions align with the firm's risk appetite.Drive Audit & Regulatory Remediation: Oversee the resolution of audit, compliance, and regulatory findings, ensuring timely and effective implementation of corrective action plans.Champion Strong Governance: Establish and promote a culture of robust governance and controls, contributing to the oversight and continuous improvement of the control framework.Act as a Change Catalyst: Drive organizational improvement by identifying and promoting new ideas, adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive end to end design effectiveness and execution efficiencies, acting as an early adopter of change, and guiding the team through uncertainty.Foster Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, anticipate challenges, and apply learnings from experience to enhance operational effectiveness.Influence & Challenge Constructively: Effectively influence stakeholders, encourage diverse perspectives to improve outcomes, and align team priorities with broader business goals.Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Engage key partners early and often, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve shared objectives and drive execution.Develop & Support Colleagues: Advocate for team members' development and well-being, promote diverse talent, and ensure all voices are heard and valued.Ensure Excellence in Execution: Set high standards for performance, take personal accountability for results, and focus on delivering high-priority work that meets and exceeds goals.Uphold Ethical Standards: Demonstrate sound ethical judgment in all business practices, ensuring compliance with laws and policies while safeguarding the firm's reputation, clients, and assets.Requirements: Experience in Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, or a related control function.Governance & Culture: Proven ability to lead strong governance, foster a culture of responsible finance, and uphold ethical standards.Audit & Regulatory Management: Experience managing audit, compliance, and regulatory findings, including remediation efforts and serving as a primary liaison for audit groups.Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Deep understanding of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies, with the ability to evaluate risk in key business decisions.Process Improvement & Automation: Demonstrated capability in enhancing, automating, and simplifying control...
