The On-Call Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment. This role ensures all guests receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to guests in assigned station to ensure departmental service standards are met.
- Assist guests with menu selection, accurately record orders, and input them into the system following established procedures.
- Retrieve food and beverages from designated service areas and deliver to guests in a timely manner.
- Monitor guests throughout their dining experience to anticipate needs, fulfill additional requests, and recognize when service is complete.
- Accurately process guest checks through the POS system and present them for payment at the conclusion of the meal.
- Support overall dining room operations by cleaning and resetting tables and escorting guests from the waiting area to assigned tables.
- Collaborate effectively with bussers and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Complete all assigned side work duties as directed by management.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
- Utilize effective suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and drive sales (e.g., appetizers, beverages, desserts).
- Ensure all open checks are properly closed, balanced, and accounted for at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to established guest service standards and consistently apply them in all guest interactions.
- Deliver alcoholic beverages promptly and responsibly from the bar to guests in accordance with service standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of serving experience preferred
- Strong command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Above-average communication and guest service skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in all situations, particularly within a regulated environment
- Serves as a role model to team members by consistently representing Caesars Entertainment in a positive manner and encouraging others to do the same
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Adheres to all regulatory, company, and departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to lift and carry large banquet and beverage trays weighing up to 30 lbs
- Ability to grasp, hold, reach, bend, push, pull, and use a step stool with strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
- Mobility to move quickly and efficiently throughout restaurant and kitchen areas
- Ability to hear clearly and perform visual inspections
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy environment
- Positions may involve exposure to guests who use tobacco products
- May be required to occasionally enter public areas and be subject to the same environmental conditions
