Accountabilities:
- Act as the primary relationship owner for multiple client engagements, building trust and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Understand client goals, business challenges, and expectations while ensuring alignment with achievable delivery outcomes.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and communicate recommendations before challenges impact engagement success.
- Own engagement profitability by monitoring margins, budgets, project health, and financial performance indicators.
- Create, negotiate, and manage Statements of Work for new project phases and expansion opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Participate in sales activities, including supporting new opportunities and helping shape client solutions.
- Maintain accountability for delivery quality, scope, schedules, and overall engagement performance.
- Make informed tradeoff decisions and provide solutions-focused recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Lead delivery cadence on smaller engagements, including sprint planning, milestone reviews, and project coordination.
- Partner with project management resources on larger initiatives by focusing on strategic direction, scope management, and client alignment.
- Coach team members on client communication, expectation management, and service excellence.
- Represent strong client service standards and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
- Previous experience working as an engineer or in a technically focused role.
- 5+ years of experience in client services, technical program management, consulting, or delivery-focused roles within technology organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Experience writing and negotiating Statements of Work.
- Experience managing project budgets, financial metrics, and engagement performance.
- Strong technical fluency with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including executive presentations, stakeholder management, and difficult conversations.
- Experience with IoT, connected hardware, embedded systems, or complex technical product development is strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronics hardware, firmware, contract manufacturers, solutions engineering, or pre-sales environments is an asset.
- Ability to estimate project scope accurately and challenge assumptions when needed.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, tickets, and delivery workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach teams and drive positive outcomes.
- Competitive base compensation of approximately $108,750 – $131,250 CAD, based on experience.
