Job responsibilities
Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Experience working in relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or any other RDBMS.
Experience in database design and developing. Writing T-SQL code and various database objects like Stored Procs, Views etc. Experience with Git or other VCS
Working experience for ETL tools (like SSIS), Reporting tools (like SSRS) and Analytic tools (like SSAS).
Experience working on overall database management system including performance tuning, security.
Ability to dive into complex problems to troubleshoot and implement functional solutions; Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery
Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages;
Experience with developing frameworks that help increase developer efficiency, release velocity, code health and technical standards
Experience working with two or more from the following: database, Windows/Unix/Linux environments, large scale software development, security software development
Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Excellent written and verbal communication; Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Proficiency Python desirable
Understanding and experience of decoupling/microservice patterns is advantageous
