Participates in the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software code for business applications. Responsible for middle-tier implementation and integration with backend databases. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them.HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
- Identify new capabilities necessary to deliver large-scale business impact and work closely with partner teams to prioritize the development of these capabilities
- Responsible for design and full implementation of product; ensures architecture meets design specs.
- Performs tasks necessary to support design, QA and implementation teams necessary to rollout product.
- Deliver net-new ways for the team/org to measure and communicate customer impact
- Research, design, write, test and implement new software applications and systems.
- Modify and enhance existing complex applications and systems.
- Champion change; drive and set technical direction for the functional group.
- Responsible for quality assurance review.
- Evaluate design alternatives, and perform cost benefit analysis
- Lead the design and development of projects that involve any or all layers of our stack
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver timely, high quality, and well-tested code
- Help define and enforce standards regarding architecture, quality, and performance
- Mentor other developers and contribute to the growth and development of the team
- Help evolve the engineering culture at First American
- Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
- Normally requires BS Degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically have 10+ years of directly related experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in driving operational excellence and best practices
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Fluent in multiple application development languages at an expert level
- Experience with various computer platforms and application environments
- Expertise with developing multiple tiers of multi-tiered software applications
- Advanced expertise in designing programs, applications and systems
- Constantly updating personal technical and business knowledge and skills and mentoring others to increase the knowledge and skills of the team
- Must have conceptual understanding of domain technologies
- Excellent organizational or project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a strong team mentality
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
