WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

•     Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, this role sits within Nike GC’s Communications team.

•     Partner closely with teams across Brand Communications, Business Communications, and Employee Communications.

•     Key cross-functional partners include Marketing, Sports Marketing, GPA, SCI, Legal, etc.

•     Peer relationships across NIKE, Inc. Global Communications function.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Lead Professional, Corporate Communications, GC brings deep expertise in communications and a strong understanding of the Chinese Corporate media landscape. This role acts as a critical narrative curator — unpacking business strategy and business progress into clear, consistent, and credible storytelling that builds confidence and strengthens Nike’s reputation in the market. This role also plays a key part as a reputation manager, proactively identifying risks, shaping external narrative in an increasingly complex media environment and elevated risk setting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong strategic thinking, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and excels in turning insights into clear, actionable plans. They are a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment while maintaining high standards in execution and stakeholder engagement.

Key Qualifications:

•     Minimum 10+ years of experience in corporate and/or financial communications highly preferred, ideally within global organizations

•     Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field

•     Strong experience in developing and executing communications strategies

•     Excellent storytelling, writing, and messaging skills in both Chinese and English

•     Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end and work effectively to influence cross-functional stakeholders

•     Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

•     Strong network across China’s corporate media landscape

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will lead the development and execution of strategic communications to engage external audiences, strengthening Nike’s market trust and shaping Nike’s brand perception and reputation in China through strong narrative curation, compelling storytelling as well as proactive risk management and strategic media engagement.

You will:

•     Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies aligned with Nike GC’s business priorities and global framing

•     Translate business strategy and progress into credible narratives and culturally relevant storytelling

•     Drive effective reputation management, including proactive risk identification and narrative mapping, as well as strategic media engagement and credible third-party endorsement

•     Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated response across functions and channels

•     Provide strategic communications counsel to internal stakeholders

•     Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate media in China

•     Manage communications agencies end-to-end, ensuring high-quality output and performance
