What We're Looking For

Synctera is hiring a Director, Marketing to own and drive our full marketing function. This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role for someone who wants to own the whole game: brand, demand generation, product marketing, events, content, and revenue impact. You'll set the strategy and roll up your sleeves to execute it.

You'll be accountable for how Synctera shows up in the market across every channel and audience, from the fintech founder evaluating infrastructure partners to the community bank executive deciding who to trust with their BaaS strategy. You'll partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to build a marketing engine that generates pipeline, accelerates deals, and cements Synctera's position as the definitive embedded finance platform.

This role is for a builder who thrives without a playbook. The right candidate has B2B marketing leadership experience, knows the fintech space, and has a track record of building marketing programs that drive measurable revenue outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Own and drive Synctera's demand generation engine across paid, organic, email, and partner-led channels; set pipeline targets, build campaigns, and report on marketing's contribution to revenue

  • Lead brand positioning and messaging across all audiences, from developers and fintech founders to bank executives and investors

  • Own the marketing of product launches, new features, and platform enhancements — from messaging and positioning to launch campaigns, sales enablement, and post-launch performance tracking

  • Develop and refine positioning and messaging for key use cases and customer segments, translating complex and technical subject matter into narratives that resonate with both technical and commercial audiences

  • Conduct competitive research and synthesize market intelligence into clear, actionable direction for product, sales, and leadership

  • Partner on co-marketing opportunities alongside fintech customers and bank partners, helping bring their launches to life while reinforcing Synctera's brand

  • Develop and maintain sales enablement materials: pitch decks, one-pagers, use case narratives, and objection-handling guides that make it easy for the revenue team to walk into any conversation and win

  • Own Synctera's events strategy and budget across fintech, bank, and vertical SaaS conferences, hosted roundtables, customer advisory boards, webinars, and partner co-marketing activations

  • Execute our customer and partner communications program, including the monthly product update, the community newsletter to fintech customers and bank partners, and the quarterly bank partner newsletter

  • Produce thought leadership content: blog posts, guest articles, whitepapers, and webinars that position Synctera as the leader in embedded finance

  • Manage Synctera's LinkedIn presence and broader social media strategy to build brand recognition in the embedded finance ecosystem

  • Own the marketing tech stack (HubSpot and related tools), attribution reporting, and funnel metrics; present pipeline and revenue impact to leadership regularly

  • Build and manage vendor and agency relationships, including hiring, coaching, and budget ownership

What You'll Bring

  • 8 to 12 years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a marketing leadership role owning a full-funnel function

  • Deep familiarity with the embedded finance, banking-as-a-service, or payments infrastructure space; you understand how FinTech companies are built and what they actually care about when evaluating infrastructure partners

  • Proven track record of owning marketing pipeline and revenue goals, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and optimization

  • Strong writer and storyteller with the ability to translate complex, technical, and regulated subject matter into clear narratives for multiple audiences: founders, bank executives, developers, and investors

  • Experience leading product launches end-to-end across cross-functional teams, with a clear process for managing timelines, stakeholders, and post-launch measurement

  • Comfort working in a small, scrappy environment where you will set the strategy, write the copy, build the deck, and send the email

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing to or alongside community banks or credit unions

Benefits

  • 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision benefits for US and Canadian employees and dependents

  • Employer contribution to HSA for US employees

  • Annual HCSA and generous extended health care coverage for Canadian employees and dependents

  • 401(k) for US employees and RRSP for Canadian employees

  • Mental health resources available for all employees

  • Unlimited paid time off

  • Generous paid new parent leave program

  • Home office setup stipend

  • Stock options program for all employees

  • Growth potential and opportunity to have a significant impact at an early stage of our company's journey

  • Working alongside a skilled and passionate team
