SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will perform periodic and random inspections to determine compliance with applicable occupational safety and health laws and regulations. You will advise supervisors and safety representatives of appropriate safety and occupational health measures to control or eliminate hazardous practices, processes and environmental conditions. You will plan, organize, coordinate, direct, evaluate and conduct mishap investigation in accordance with current mishap prevention orders and directives. You will provide technical safety training to installation and unit safety representatives, inspectors and their employees using a wide variety of methods and media. You will establish, guide and encourage supervisor-employee safety committees to identify and eliminate hazardous equipment operations and unsafe working conditions.
