The Biostatistics Program is hiring an Administrative Manager I/II to manage administrative operations in support of the program and projects within the program.  This position will report to the Program Operations Director but work with the Program Administrator to successfully manage aspects of project/program operation.  The Admin Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures related to project/program operations.  Any/all administrative operational problems which occur are handled by the Administrative Manager, soliciting assistance and informing the Program Administrator and Program Operations Director as required.  Special skills and knowledge are applied in managing administrative operational activities and in developing materials.  Independent judgment is used in interpreting policies, protocol, and grant/contract requirements.

 

This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor project/program budgets, ensuring that all financial allocations and expenditures are in accordance with grant/contract guidelines. Resolve identified budget and expense issues.
  • Coordinate grant/contract application and renewal process, including creation and communication of timelines to appropriate stakeholders, completion of non-scientific portions of submission, and oversight of institutional signoff.
  • Develop and administer policies and procedures related to project/program operation and administration. Identify administrative issues for discussion with leadership.
  • Serve as project/program liaison, representing the project/program to other Center departments, funding sources, affiliated individuals or institutions, and outside organizations.
  • Coordinate the submission of study results, articles and manuscripts for publication.
  • Complete key administrative tasks such as travel coordination, reimbursements, reconcile ProCards, purchasing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
  • Plan and attend post-doc meetings and document proceedings.
  • Monitor post-doc activities, ensuring objectives have been met and coordinate follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate two seminars series, ad-hoc special lectures, and conferences; to include planning schedules, securing space, ordering catering, attending events and monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of special and recurring reports.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Administrative Manager I:

  • Requires Bachelor’s Degree and three years of administrative management or relevant experience OR equivalent education/experience.

Administrative Manager II:

  • Requires Bachelor’s Degree and five years of administrative management or relevant experience OR equivalent education/experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills, budgeting experience.
  • Knowledge of grant and contract funding process highly desired.

Administrative Manager I: The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $114,941, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Administrative Manager II: The annual base salary range for this position is from $84,490 to $126,714, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
