In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Functional Tester with proven experience in IBM Maximo Application Suite (Maximo v9) to support delivery within a secure Defence programme. The role involves validating functional requirements, ensuring system quality, and supporting mission-critical asset management solutions in a highly regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, document, and execute functional test cases for Maximo v9 modulesPerform end-to-end functional and system testing across asset management workflowsValidate configurations including Work Orders, Assets, Inventory, Procurement, and Preventive MaintenanceConduct integration testing with interfaced systems (e.g. ERP, logistics, and finance systems)Analyse requirements and user stories to define test scenarios and acceptance criteriaLog, manage, and track defects through to resolution using test/defect management toolsSupport System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Ensure compliance with Defence standards, security policies, and data governance requirementsProduce and maintain test documentation (test plans, scripts, traceability matrices, reports)Collaborate with developers, business analysts, SMEs, and stakeholdersPersonal AttributesStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsHigh attention to detail and quality focusEffective communication and stakeholder engagementAbility to work under pressure within secure, time-critical environmentsThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
