The Sustainability Packaging Team Lead will lead impactful work that enables clients to reduce the environmental footprint of packaging while supporting broader sustainability goals. He will play a key role in delivering high-quality consulting and managed services across packaging initiatives and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs, working with clients that range from Fortune 500 companies to innovative startups and boutique brands.
• Oversee multiple projects concurrently across diverse clients and technical areas
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and client relationships
• Ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard
• Conduct research, data collection, and analysis; engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Produce high-quality reports and presentations to support strategic decision-making
• Perform data analysis to identify gaps and develop sound assumptions and methodologies
• Conduct landscape reviews, including analysis of:
o Competitor sustainability strategies
o Packaging regulations and EPR requirements
• Perform quantitative modelling, including packaging footprint assessments
• Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to capability building
• Support business development efforts with both new and existing clients
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Understanding of packaging materials, technical attributes, and applications
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for packaging materials and systems
• Experience with LCA tools and carbon accounting standards (preferred)
• Advanced analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with tools such as SQL Server, Power BI, or NetSuite (a plus)
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively
• Demonstrated experience in client management and/or business development
