DayBridge Partial Hospital Coordinator

Position Summary:
The purposes of this position are: to provide program reception, client program scheduling, referral administration/information, registration, medical record and other administrative support services to designated area; and to perform related duties as assigned. This role is a resource for clients, program staff and providers regarding insurance coverage and benefits, referral/authorization requirements, coordination of benefits and preferred provider/care networks. Must possess a high degree of public contact skills with adult clients.
Major Job Duties and Tasks:
- Provide immediate attention to inquiries in person at the front desk as people arrive and provide immediate attention to answering the telephone
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate internal and external referral/authorization processes
- Medical records responsibilities
- Misc.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30pm
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
High school diploma or equivalent
Meets one of the following:
Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program
Two years experience as a medical receptionist
Two years experience in a customer service position
Two years experience in medical insurance or patient billing
Preferred experience with Epic registration and scheduling
Preferred experience with medical insurance and prior authorizations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer and keyboard proficiency required
- Demonstrated customer service skills required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively by telephone and in person
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrated ability to be accurate and attentive to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team with co-workers, providers and all customers
- Demonstrated ability to organize work under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Exceptional customer service skills (internal and external customers)
- Demonstrated ability to systematically and skillfully respond to telephone calls and customer requests.
- Demonstrated ability to verbally understand and read the English language
- Demonstrated ability to write in English legibly, using correct grammar
