About the Role
JLL is looking for a Lead Technician to join our on-site Facilities Management team at a leading hi-tech client. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you will personally perform hands-on maintenance and repair work, while also guiding and coordinating a team of 2–4 technicians. We are looking for someone who leads from the field — not from behind a desk — and who combines strong technical skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and mentor a small technical team.
This role is ideal for an experienced, licensed technician who is ready to take on more responsibility without leaving hands-on technical work behind.
What You'll Do
Field & Technical Work
- Perform hands-on electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance work across the site
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, generators, UPS, plumbing, fire protection, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults across electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance and respond to urgent/emergency tickets
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in line with relevant codes and regulations
Team Leadership
- Lead and coordinate a team of 2–4 technicians — planning daily work, setting priorities, and assigning tasks
- Serve as the technical point of escalation for complex issues the team encounters in the field
- Mentor team members, helping them build technical skills and grow professionally
- Monitor work quality and ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and on schedule
- Drive sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure high levels of employee satisfaction and workplace functionality.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the FM manager on planning, scheduling, and resource needs
- Track recurring issues and proactively flag risks (equipment wear, compliance gaps, etc.)
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors when specialized work is required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity, parts used, and outstanding issues
Requirements
Licenses & Certifications
- Certified Electrician license (חשמלאי מוסמך)— required, minimum level
- HVAC technician certification — advantage
- High-voltage electrician license— advantage
Experience & Skills
- 2–5 years of hands-on technical/maintenance experience in facilities, industrial, or building systems environments
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, fire safety, plumbing, generators, and BMS
- Solid mechanical knowledge and general troubleshooting ability across building systems
- Some prior experience guiding, training, or informally leading other technicians — advantage
- Comfortable splitting time between hands-on fieldwork and coordinating/guiding a small team
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and safety awareness
- Good communication skills in Hebrew and English
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (work-order systems, email, scheduling tools)
24/7 on-call emergency support
