About the Role:
Nova is AngelList's banking and payments network for private markets. Funds and investors both live on the network, and money (subscriptions, capital calls, distributions) moves between them inside it instead of through wires and PDFs. On top of those rails sits a growing menu of financial products: treasury and yield, credit, and a wealth layer that keeps an investor's capital working from one fund to the next.
We're looking for someone to own the economics of that product menu with the autonomy and scope of a division CFO. Your fingerprints should be visible on which products we build, how they're priced, and how fast they reach the market.
This is not a traditional finance role. Success is whether the business makes better decisions, ships the right products, and accelerates revenue.

Responsibilities:
- Own the Nova business narrative on financial performance, product economics, and outlook, including mastery of the Nova P&L and revenue model.
- Own the economics of the financial-product menu (deposits, treasury, payments, credit, and wealth) and bring the point of view on what to build next, how it is priced, and how it makes money.
- Drive revenue growth: own target-setting and go-to-market planning for new and existing products, and unlock adoption across every channel from direct GP sales, the Ark / fund-admin cross-sell to the LP surface.
- Model the unit economics that drive the call (NIM and float, lending spread and risk, referral and take-rate economics, AUM fees), and connect each product to payments volume, balances, and revenue.
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years across strategic finance, banking, private markets, or corporate strategy, owning growth planning personally. The strongest fits come from fintech or neobank strategic finance, private-markets infrastructure, or banking and financial services turned operational.
- You reason natively in financial-product economics: deposits and float, lending spreads, referral and take-rate economics, AUM fees. You can tell a profitable product from a costly one.
- You form a clear point of view on what to build next, build conviction across product, GTM, and ops, and carry it to launch with pricing, packaging, and targets. You've killed a bet people believed in when the economics don't hold.
- You operate with broad scope and no playbook. You make senior judgment calls before the data is clean, shape your own mandate, and have a bias to action. You'd rather decide in days and correct course than spend weeks on a cleaner answer.
- You can distill a complex problem to the handful of points that move the decision, and you communicate it to executives in writing, in person, and in charts.
- You've built AI into how you work and expect it to reshape how finance operates. You want to be the person defining what that looks like here.
How success will be measured:
- Leadership has conviction on which financial product we build next, and why.
- The Nova leadership team plans off one model it trusts, with product economics, targets, and tradeoffs in one place.
- There's a clear, consistent narrative on financial performance and which growth levers to prioritize.
- Revenue grows: new and existing products show up in payments volume, balances, and revenue, with GTM unlocked across direct, Ark / fund-admin, and LP channels.
