Trauma Quality Assurance RN - Full Time Day
Trauma Quality Assurance RN at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour Day shifts.

Under the direction of the Trauma Services Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director, the Trauma Quality Assurance RN is responsible for concurrent, primary chart review of patients entered into the Trauma Registry to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assists the TPM in developing audit filters based on TQIP Benchmark Reports, The Joint Commission, ACS standards and adding quality indicators as needed to monitor process and outcome of care including the surveillance of trauma guidelines.
- Refers opportunities for improvement to the Trauma Medical Director for secondary review.
- Responsible for reviewing TQIP Benchmark Reports biannually for opportunities for improvement.
- Attends daily Trauma Sign-Out and ICU rounds on trauma patients identifying opportunity for improvement in real time.
- Attends weekly Secondary Review Trauma Case Review meetings.
- Participate in monthly Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Committee (Peer and Operations) meetings in person.
- Responsible for identifying process improvement projects.
- Responsible for documenting loop closure in Trauma Registry and ensuring all charts are accurately closed when the case is completed.
- Runs reports and performs data analytics from, but not limited to, the Trauma Registry and Epic.
- Available to attend in-person meetings upon the request of the TPM or Trauma Director
- Participates and attends in-house trauma education and outreach events.
- Attends and participates in the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma Site Survey

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree Risk Management:
- Nursing or Healthcare related field.
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Risk Management:
- 4 years in working in healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing.
- 3 years of Experience in Quality Improvement.
- Risk Management:
- 2 years of working in healthcare quality management.
