C.H. Robinson is currently looking for a Manager, Supply Chain Engineering.  In this role you will be involved in long-term strategy development and will be accountable for successful delivery of roadmap initiatives. This includes having the responsibility for managing the execution of projects consistent with the development, adaptation and deployment of systems and processes for enterprise account teams. You are also responsible for leading and developing a team of supply chain analysts and engineers who identify, design and implement end-to-end supply chain improvements.

This is a hybrid position, with in-office presence required 4 days a week at our office in Chicago, IL.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and develop a high performing team of supply chain analysts and engineers
  • Lead the development of the supply chain engineering vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Design and develop supply chain solutions that align with our strategic roadmap
  • Develop cost savings, service, procurement and operational strategies in support of team goals
  • Understand the use of optimization/decision support tools to perform global supply chain studies, routing optimization and transportation, inventory, and total landed cost analyses
  • Champion a strong PDCA based project management process for the entire team
  • Actively engage and mentor all engineering projects
  • Champion across all regions in the development and continuous improvement of department strategies for team skill and capability development or enhancement
  • Manage global project teams responsible for defining scope, developing project plan, tracking activities, reporting on progress and milestones and measuring results across all regions

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 6 years of supply chain experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading & developing a team
  • Experience using data visualization and analytical tools
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and/or international)

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with Lean tools such as VSM, A3 management, pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to lead the team by inspiring trust, developing others and building talent
  • Understanding of the big picture and proven ability to develop long range strategy
  • Engages internal and external customers to effectively build alignment and cultivate relationships
  • Results focused by creating accountability, allocates resources effectively and drives for results
  • Delegates effectively, focuses on continuous improvement and problem resolution
  • Fosters open communication, speaks with impact and listens attentively
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment

Compensation Range

$103,600.00 - $175,100.00
