Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel on IP and commercial transactions.
- Draft and negotiate various agreements, ensuring strong understanding of IP terms.
- Support new product introduction and freedom to practice assessments. - Collaborate on resolving potential IP and commercial disputes.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and corporate regulations.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends affecting the business.
- Manage external counsel for disputes and litigation.
- Train employees on legal policies and compliance.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders and participate in marketing material reviews.
- Mentor junior legal staff.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
- B.S. or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- Pass the Chinese national bar and patent bar exams.
- 5–7 years of experience in intellectual property law and commercial transactions, preferably in law firm and in-house environments.
