In this pivotal role, you will support complex L2/L3 incidents, improve live network stability, and work closely with product, project and problem management teams to reduce outages, prevent repeat faults and introduce new CCxx releases safely. This role directly contributes to Ericsson’s mission of delivering reliable, high-performing 5G Cloud Core solutions through strong technical ownership, customer focus and operational excellence.What you will do:- Lead L2/L3 investigations and drive resolution of complex customer issues across 5G UDM and CCxx Cloud Core applications, including CCSM, CCDM and CCRC.- Own critical incident response, fault isolation and service restoration activities in carrier-grade, customer-facing environments.- Analyse system behaviour, logs, network flows and distributed platform performance to identify root causes and prevent repeat faults.- Partner with product, projects, service delivery and problem management teams to improve service stability and safely introduce new CCxx releases.- Communicate confidently with customers and internal stakeholders, providing clear updates, technical guidance and resolution plans during high-priority incidents.- Drive operational efficiencies through automation, knowledge sharing, documentation, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives.The skills you bring: - Solution & data model: Clear understanding of the overall UDC/UDM solution, including how CUDB/UDR, HLR-FE, HSS-FE, EIR-FE, CCRC, CCSM and CCDM fit together; subscriber data models in CUDB, including keys, indexes and replication; and how subscription changes flow from CCDM to FEs and onwards to EPC/IMS and PACO.- Key protocols & interfaces: Strong Diameter skills, including S6a/S6d, Cx, Sh, Gr, SLh and Ud-type interfaces; MAP basics where legacy still exists; and awareness of 5G UDM interfaces such as Nudm, enabling trace reading and mapping of errors to specific nodes and parameters.- FE behaviour (HLR-FE / HSS-FE / EIR-FE): Understanding of how these FEs behave in attach, RAU/LAU, EPS attach, IMS registration, authentication, subscription download/update and barring/roaming scenarios; plus EIR IMEI checks and their impact on attach/registration, enabling quick separation of “data issues” from “equipment issues.”- Platform & cloud (CCSM + infrastructure): Comfort with CCSM concepts, including NFs, pods, instances, scaling, Day-0/Day-1 parameters and Diameter endpoints; Linux and basic Kubernetes/container troubleshooting, including logs, pods, CPU/RAM/disk; and reading CNF alarms/KPIs related to UDM/HSS-IMS.- Provisioning & data operations (CCDM/CUDB): Understanding of CCDM order flows, typical failures, bulk operations and migrations; ability to carry out safe subscriber-data corrections, consistency checks between CCDM/CUDB/FE, and design and execute rollback plans.- Support process & collaboration: Solid incident, change and problem management capability, including strong case notes, clear RCAs and impact analysis; plus the ability to work across IMS, EPC/5GC, RAN and BSS/Charging teams and explain complex UDM/UDC findings clearly to customers during high-pressure incidents.- 5GC/CCRC domain: Understanding of the role of CCRC with NRF, NSSF, DNS and SBI/HTTP2 in 5G Core.- Platform/cloud: Strong Linux skills, OpenStack basics, Kubernetes/containers and YAML-based configuration.- NRF/DNS/NSSF behaviour: Knowledge of geo-redundancy, database sync/resync and system expansion/reduction.- Operations & troubleshooting:...
