Duties: Design, develop, and test software applications. Design, develop, and/or test software applications using company technology stack. Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data, developments, and projects in order to provide recommendations to resolve technical issues. Support the company's business operations and improve engineering productivity. Build software components that can be integrated into a fully functional software system. Solve production issues in product and system reliability. May telecommute.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, and four years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. OR employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, and two years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires:
- Frontend web development using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, including experience with modern frontend frameworks such as server-driven UIs;
- Backend development building scalable services using Java or Go;
- Relational databases and SQL, including data modeling and query optimization;
- Distributed systems fundamentals, including service reliability, scalability, and performance considerations;
- Version control systems (Git), including code reviews and collaborative development workflows;
- Web application performance optimization, including frontend rendering and backend response latency;
- Software testing and debugging, including unit tests and integration tests;
- RESTful API integration and client–server communication, including JSON-based data exchange and error handling;
- Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in web applications, including root cause analysis and system reliability improvements.
