Process Technician - Automation/Controls (3rd Shift)

Process Technician
Responsibilities:
- Provide plant wide automation and controls support for new and existing automation cells, solving daily production problems, improving safety, quality, reliability and cost.
- Support PLC software and hardware applications.
- Provide technical support for material handling and dispensing robotic installations.
- Work with our in-house Automation, MTC and third-party integrator teams to install and troubleshoot new robotic/automated cells.
- Provide training to engineers, supervisors, zone leaders and operators on system functionality, maintenance, recovery, and repair.
- Participate in engineering design reviews for new and existing products.
- Work alongside other departments to perform analysis, data collection, and document standard work.
- Design, build, program, and troubleshoot small to medium error proofing and process automation projects.
- Work alongside maintenance and engineering to troubleshoot mechanical, programing and electrical issues.
- Execute tasks per direction given, independently or with limited oversite.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 0-4 years of related experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Occasional Travel (0-5%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with experience in robotic automation, PLC programming and diagnostics, vision systems, safety interlocks and system communications.
- Experience in PLC and HMI software and hardware (Allen Bradley/C-More, etc.)
- Experience in robotic software and hardware (Fanuc/Motoman/UR, etc.)
- Must be mechanically inclined and have good problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to lead the discussions, meetings, projects, etc., and communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Requires good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor shop floor operations
