Our culture of growth and empathy focuses on your long-term career development while valuing your unique skills and experiences. **Your role and responsibilities** The Forward Deployed Architect serves as a strategic partner to enterprise clients, ensuring the successful adoption, integration, and scaling of advanced technologies. This role leads strategic discovery, architects production-ready solutions, and embeds GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities to deliver meaningful business value. The architect ensures all solutions align with security best practices (such as OWASP), compliance requirements, performance needs, and ethical standards across operational, digital, analytical, and AI-driven use cases. This role also focuses on designing application, data, and system-level integrations across the client’s enterprise landscape, including integrations among agents and AI-powered components. It blends responsibilities traditionally performed by business analysts, application architects, and integration architects, while applying GenAI, Agentic AI, advanced context engineering, specification engineering, prompt engineering, and Agentic SDLC workflows for accelerated, value-driven delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Map contextual knowledge based on real customer workflows • Define the integration architecture and required data transformations • Design integrations across the end systems that will consume the product within each line of business • Establish end-to-end data pipelines across the solution • Integrate various agent workflows to support SDLC outputs • Integrate agents, assets, and assistants across SDLC stages • Define data integration pipelines, including data mappings and transformations **Required technical and professional expertise** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred. • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture within complex organizations, including direct customer-facing or forward-deployed roles. • Demonstrated ability to translate business cases into domain models, architecture frameworks, and contextualized solutions. • Strong understanding of cloud, integration patterns, data architectures, and security. • Experience designing solutions incorporating GenAI, agentic workflows, or automated assistants. • Proven ability to manage architecture governance while supporting rapid, iterative delivery. • Strong communication and facilitation skills, comfortable interacting with executive stakeholders and engineering teams. • Ability to establish a delivery model augmented with an agentic SDLC. • Alignment of prompt engineering and context engineering to client enterprise standards. • Spec-driven development and context engineering practices IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
