Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Procurement Manager Benelux, you’re not just overseeing the purchasing process – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Procurement 50%:  Execute annual spend analysis and propose an annual procurement plan for the area. Obtain stakeholder buy-in. Develop new programs and/or renegotiate existing programs and distribution channels with suppliers and/or manufacturers, utilize cross-functional teams whenever applicable. 

     

     

  • Operational Procurement 20%Ensure adequate service levels related to all aspects of the purchasing and supply process are provided to the operation, including support on the ordering process, the distribution process, the receiving function, and storing. Research departmental inquiries on product availability, pricing, specifications, and product usage requirements and/or recommendations. Communicate on a regular basis the above information to hotel purchasing and supply staff and other hotel departments, as required. Forecast operational needs and schedule deliveries accordingly to meet operational requirements.

 

  • Administration 15%Effectively manage supplier contracts and product data, inclusive of catalogue content, product specifications, photographs and descriptions, pricing and file retention. Approve all changes to existing contracted items, new and/or deleted items, inclusive of pricing verification and amendments. 

 

  • Reporting and Human Resources 15%Regularly update internal stakeholders on achievements / progress and attend Area and regional meetings as required. Provide effective HR management to direct reports. Lead and motivate teams to high levels of performance. Develop the functional and soft skills of the team

Successful candidates meet the following qualifications. You have:

  • Complete knowledge of food, beverage, services and operating supply products, purchasing procedures and supply chain.
  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and procurement environments
  • The ability to apply supervisory skills to plan, organize, direct employees, coach, train and discipline, as necessary.
  • Demonstrated competence to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks to completion “hands on”
  • A work attitude that exhibits flexibility, drive, good judgment, dependability and ambitions
  • a high degree of demonstrable computer skills
  • The ability to communicating complex ideas and concepts in a manner that is easily understood across the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Growth demonstrated in continuous ongoing education and training in applicable topics
  • Strong negotiation skills

 

You are (business) fluent in both Dutch and English, and preferably one additional language as well. this is a hybrid role with an office base in Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. For this role you must have the full right to work in the Netherlands.
