**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Hardware Developer: Generalist, you will develop IBM hardware and technology products, including server systems, storage systems, and networking systems, using design documentation such as Functional Specifications and high-level design documents. You will work on delivering quality systems to meet market needs and establish relations across IBM and with external suppliers/vendors. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop Hardware Designs: Develop sub systems designs (Chiplets) across the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering, ensuring that components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the system product. • Test and Validate: Test the functional and RAS (reliability, availability, and serviceability) aspects of the implementation to ensure quality systems. • Pro
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• Responsible for high peroformance microprocessor blocks RTL to GDSII implementation
• Perform subsystem (chiplet) level synthesis, floorplanning, placement and routing.
• Close the design to meet timing, power budget and area.
• Implement ECO's to address functional bugs and timing violations.
• Team player, with good problem solving and communication skills.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
• Electrical Engineering Principles: Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts and practices can be advantageous in developing hardware designs across multiple disciplines. Knowledge of electrical components and their interactions can help ensure quality systems. •
