• As a result of the recent economic climate, it is becoming more common for employers to offer secondments to work on projects as they can be a more affordable and practical option, where resources are tight or where the need for a permanent hire is not yet known, such as with a start-up. Starting in a secondment capacity can be the entry point for joining a reinsurer on a permanent basis later

What you’ll need

• A recognised professional accounting qualification (such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA)
• Practical experience in financial statements preparation and/or internal auditing in a financial services environment
• Direct experience of working in Bermuda's Re/Insurance sector or auditing such entities is a definite advantage
• Familiarity with US GAAP and Bermuda Monetary Authority reporting requirements is a definite plus
• Well-developed IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
