Autodesk is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Developer to join the Admin Access and Insights team within Autodesk Platform Services. The Admin Access and Insights team is dedicated to advancing Autodesk’s managing-access capabilities. We focus on improving experiences for the administration experiences through scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions. Our work connects people, products, and data, enabling seamless collaboration across the Autodesk platform. In this role, you will design and develop modern, cloud-based applications across the full technology stack. You will contribute to intuitive web experiences using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, while also building scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and related technologies.
You will report to a Software Development Manager based in Canada. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality full-stack applications and services
Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Develop scalable and secure backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies
Collaborate with product managers, product owners, designers, architects, and engineers to refine requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions
Develop reusable frontend components and maintainable backend services that can be extended by other teams
Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations between frontend applications, backend services, databases, and third-party systems
Develop and maintain unit, integration, automation, and regression tests across the application stack
Ensure that new code follows Autodesk engineering, security, accessibility, and performance best practices
Participate in code reviews and ensure that code meets established quality and architectural standards
Write and present technical designs, architectural proposals, and implementation plans
Document new features, services, APIs, and changes to existing systems
Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, scalability, security, and user experience
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across frontend, backend, data, and cloud infrastructure
Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
Promote Agile methodologies, principles, and values within the team
Participate in retrospectives, feedback loops, and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor less-experienced software engineers and provide technical guidance on development practices, architecture, and product design
Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve the product, architecture, and development process
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
Experience building and maintaining production full-stack web applications
Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
Hands-on experience developing modern frontend applications using React
Hands-on Java programming experience and experience with Spring Boot
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services
Experience using relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and DynamoDB
Working knowledge of AWS technologies such as Lambda, ECS, SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and related cloud services
Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Experience using Git and modern collaborative software development workflows
Understanding of software design principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
Experience applying secure software development practices
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Ability to document technical requirements, designs, and specifications
Strong communication and collaboration skills
A team-oriented attitude with a willingness to take ownership and lead when necessary

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Belonging
