The Wisconsin market BI team uses data science, public health expertise, business intelligence, and health care expertise to solve meaningful problems for business partners. Our analytics drive Humana's performance and improve the health and life of our members by transforming data into advanced analytic solutions.You will report to the Associate Director of Business Intelligence. You will reside in either WI, IA or MN for consideration. You will also occasionally travel to WI (Milwaukee or Steven's Point WI) once per quarter for team meetings/building.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for the WI Medicaid team, you will primarily perform the following:
- Managing WI reporting suite
- Develop solutions that support business areas
- Communicate insights and analytical findings to a broad range of audiences
- Ensure solutions provide the highest quality of data
- Help move the team towards cloud-based analytical platforms

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 or more years of relevant data analytics experience
- Able to occasionally travel to WI (Milwaukee or Steven's Point WI) once per quarter for team meetings/building.
- Knowledgeable with SQL and database concepts
- Data mining experience with demonstrated ability to answer business problems using data
- Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic decision-making
- Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers, partners and leadership verbally or written
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced experience in Python, R, SQL, and Power BI
- Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and modeling
- Experience with causal inference and experimental design
- Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in understanding healthcare related data

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
