EHS Site Leader
Role Summary / Purpose
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Site Leader will provide EHS support for the Marcus Hook Energy Center and will also maintain in-depth knowledge of existing and proposed national and local regulations
The EHS Leader is responsible for their own Health and Safety, and that of any staff/contractors working under their direction in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Policy
Essential Responsibilities
As EHS Site Leader you report to the Regional EHS Operations Staff Manager and Plant Manager and:
1. Manage all aspects of site EHS activities to ensure full compliance with local, state and federal regulations
2. Implement and execute GEV Power Services O&M EHS programs / processes
3. Maintain site-specific EHS programs and plans
4. Provide guidance and interpretation of EHS regulations and requirements affecting site to management team
5. Partner with operations team to manage site EHS compliance activities (inspections, training, monitoring, sampling, etc.)
6. Drive EHS compliance through audits, process / equipment review and site inspections
7. Lead site risk elimination/risk reduction activities
8. Demonstrate strong leadership as a member of site management team
9. Manage site EHS training program and conduct classroom training as needed
10. Complete all site regulatory reports (air, water , hazardous materials, waste, OSHA/Safety) and work closely with site customer to ensure timely submittal of reports
11. Lead site injury and illness prevention program. Lead incident / accident investigations and develop corrective & preventive action plans
12. Manage site EHS consultants
13. Work cooperatively with GEV EHS resources on business projects and initiatives
14. Manage CEMS QA/QC activities. Utilize DAHS to obtain emissions data required for business and regulatory reports
15. Utilize site EMS system (Gensuite) to record and track site EHS activities (training, incident reporting, incident investigation, etc.)
16. Leading by example, educate co-workers on availability of and direct co-workers on use of self-service HR, benefits, career & payroll tools.

Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 4 years of EHS experience in an industry or manufacturing environment
Desired Characteristics
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Advanced computer skills, primarily with MS Office software programs, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access
Experience with customer interaction
Experience with regulatory agency interaction
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated influencing skills in a team environment workforce
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, RCRA, CAA, NPDES, TSCA, CWA, NERC, DOT or similar country specific regulations
Experience with CEMS hardware and software
Experience in Health and Safety and Environmental management systems ; i.e. ISO9000, ISO14001, ISO18000, NERC, VPP etc.
Ability to work closely with site management team and external resources
EHS leadership experience at a power generation facility
Experience working in the NJ Regulatory environment.
Experience managing Air, water, and waste permits such as Title V Permits, NPDES permits, SWPP and DPCC/SPCC plans, hazardous waste, and other environmental programs
Experience working directly with regulatory inspectors and permitting personnel
Experience generating regulatory required reports such as EDRs, Air Emission Inventories, DMRs, Biennial Reports, etc.
Self-starter with strong client and public communication skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,100.00 and $188,500.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
