Key responsibility:

  • Work with TW ND/NVS team and NSP planning team to build balanced business plan with the consideration of sales/margin/inventory to ensure the delivery of financial target and marketplace healthy for Nike Direct business.
  • Initiate in-season management proposals to support business plans and cross functional alignment. Lead period analysis, including but not limited to product level sell through and overall sales/margin/ inventory study to influence current and future season planning.
  • Conduct ND Assortment Plan to shape consumer demand & supply for driving growth and inventory productivity. 

  • Pre-season:
    • Build seasonal sku level investment plan & strategies for retail concepts tied to the financial targets & brand vision;
    • Align plan with input and collaboration from key stakeholders including Merchandising and Business Team;
    • Conduct monthly rolling forecast to trigger actions on buy or inventory management;
    • Partner with Supply Planning team to secure buy execution/capacity & plan inventory flow.

  • In-season:
    • Conduct weekly/monthly/seasonal business review and analysis of highlight or lowlight vs. plan, including traffic, sales, retail KPI, inventory and sports level & key product performance. And provide weekly recap of marketplace performance.
    • Work with NSP planning & Finance team to align Quarterly / monthly shipment plan and track closely to drive meaningful alignment & actions.
    • Track in-season performance to trigger cross season management plan and recommend key actions to cross function partners to optimize business.
  • Post-season:
    • Analyze seasonal topline financial and product performance including sell-through, color performance, and SKU productivity;
    • Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders for future season planning.

  • Critical experience/knowledge/skills to be gained:
    • Understanding of inline & closeout product planning/ future season strategy in retail business;
    • Enhanced analytical skills to come up with insights in product/store performance;
    • Development of communication skills with key retail business counterparts to work together on insights and problem solving.
